Our address is 4312 E. 51st St., Tulsa, OK 74135. We have two spaces available to enjoy, a private sanctuary room that is upstairs of Free Spirit Chiropractic and an outdoor community space that is located in a exterior enclosed building. You can check in with the front desk inside to use either space.
Yes! We have a large private parking lot for customers only.
For the outdoor community space, you can wear whatever you are comfortable in! We recommend a bathing suit, sports bra + shorts, or athletic wear. Please do not have perfume or lotion on. We recommend coming to your session freshly showered before contrast therapy or private infrared sauna sessions. We also recommend bringing dry clothes to change in after the cold plunge and/or traditional sauna sweat session!
Note: you will be required to bring a towel to sit on in both the infrared sauna and traditional sauna. Towels are not provided in the community space, but can be purchased at the front desk for $3.
Yes! If this is your first time to cold plunge and use the traditional sauna in our community space, we will have a special hour where we can help guide you through your entire experience. One of our team members will show you upstairs to the private room and give you a tutorial on how to use the infrared sauna as well!
Both the private sessions and the community sessions will have filtered water available free of charge. You are welcome to bring your own water bottle filled up as well. We do offer recovery hydration boosts such as LMNT in Free Spirit Chiropractic that can be purchased either before or after your sessions.
We set our cold plunges to 47°. We find the temperature is to be best balance for the first timers as well as experienced plungers. Our cold plunge has a built-in filtration and sanitization, they work just like hot tubs, but cold. you are required to rinse off in a shower (either before you come or we have one inside upstairs) before entering the plunge to remove any sweat, lotion, deodorant, etc. from your body. ADAPT is not responsible for any damage to clothes or jewelry so please be mindful of your belongings. No food or glass is allowed in the community space
Our Sunlighten infrared sauna:
The heating technology developed by sunlight and saunas is one of a kind. Each wavelength requires a different complex equation involving surfaces, surface temperature, and material Sunlighten patent heaters allow for all three wavelengths (near, mid, and far) plus red light to be recreated in one place. There are six preset programs which include cardio, detox, pain relief, relaxation, weight loss, anti-aging, and more that are fully customizable to achieve your health goals! Along with red light therapy, you can experience chronography. Chemotherapy has different benefits per color and wavelengths to support various aspects of physical and mental health.
Our crew cabin can fit 6 people to create the ultimate sweat sesh and facilitate community! This sauna can get up to 230 degrees, yet we will have it set at 180 degrees and can be used as both a dry and wet traditional sauna. There are many benefits to using a traditional sauna in addition to being able to sweat more and quicker! Benefits include improved cardiovascular health, enhanced recovery after exercise, better sleep, mental health, detoxification and skin health, immune support, and weight loss.
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities at adapt. We do not recommend contrast therapies for individuals with cardiovascular condition conditions, including heart, disease or high blood pressure, those who are pregnant, have a history of respiratory issues, suffer from Reynards disease or other circulatory disorders, or experiencing any type of infection or illness or have open wounds or skin condition conditions. Please consult with your healthcare provider before engaging in contrast therapy, especially if you have any medical conditions or concerns.
Contrast therapy or hot cold therapy is alternating between extreme heat and cold exposure, such as saunas and cold plunge. Usually they are started with the heat, followed by the cold. Can be repeated in many cycles, even though one cycle offers benefits. Benefits include enhance blood, flow and circulation due to heat, causing vasodilation and cold triggering vasoconstriction. This pumping effect helps move nutrients, more efficiently through the body, clear, metabolic waste, and reducing inflammation. Contrast therapy is also great for recovery, immune system boosting, improving mental health, and hormonal, benefits!
10 to 15 minutes in sauna
1 to 3 minutes in cold plunge
Optional: repeat 2-3 times
Always end with cold for recovery benefits.
Safety notes- start gradually with shorter durations, listen to your body, stay hydrated, and exit either environment if feeling dizzy or uncomfortable.
